Zizzo's Coffee Considering Alcohol and Nightlife Options
Zizzo's has tentative plans to expand at Brown Ranch Marketplace, including live entertainment.
Zizzo's Coffee could give an extra shot to Capitola's nightlife, if the city approves the coffeehouse's tentative plans for expansion.
The owners of Zizzo's have applied for a conditional use permit with the city, which is expected to be on the Planning Commission agenda for May 2. The permit is the first step toward expansion, but owner Aaron Anderson said it's still too early to go into detail about the plans, which could include an alcohol license.
Zizzo's has been a tenant at Brown Ranch Marketplace since 2004.

Brown Ranch Marketplace general manager Bob Rivers said he's negotiating with Anderson to expand into the space next to the coffeehouse's current location.
"It would create a nice environment in general," Rivers said of the expansion plans, which could include live entertainment.
