Capitola Reef Rebrands with Dog Accessories and Cheaper Jewelry

Three new owners have taken the local business in a new direction.

Say "Hello" to a new era at Capitola Reef — the Village business known for custom jewelry.

According to the most recent newsletter from the Capitola Village & Business Improvement Association, former owners Jay and Sallye Bowyer recently sold the store to Mara Brill, her brother Devon Salter and his wife Kate Salter.

The Bowyers will still sell their jewelry online.

Brill and the Salters have remodeled the Capitola Avenue store and are also changing the feel of the business.

Jay Bowyer's jewelry is still for sale in the store, but the newly-branded business now also features dog accessories, bags, belts, hats, and more, all at a lower price point than previously offered, the newsletter reported.
