The is still months away, but the celebration begins this week with the "Pirates & Pearls" themed at .
On Thursday, May 17 from 6 - 9 p.m., the Capitola-Soquel Chamber of Commerce has planned to serve Caribbean appetizers prepared by E&J Catering to go along with wine samples from 21 of the wineries who will be represented at the festival this summer. For $35, attendees will also pick up a festival glass.
Along with wine, food and pirates, The True Olive Connection will be in the house to offer olive oil tastings. (Did you know pirates were really into olive oil?)
Also planned for the night is the unveiling of the 2012 festival poster, a silent auction, live auction, art auction, raffle and music by Music Now DJ.
