Wooster Playing Esplanade Park Wednesday Evening

Capitola Village will once again turn into a concert venue Wednesday evening.

As part of Capitola's , Wooster will play in Esplanade Park Wednesday night, for free, from 6-8 p.m.

Wooster is a Santa Cruz-based band that plays local venues with cinsistency.

According to Jennifer Gallacher of Santa Cruz Rehearsal Studios, Wooster hails "from the backyards and house parties of Santa Cruz," and became the top local party band in 2009. Led by a duo of lead vocalists (Brian Gallagher and Caroline Kuspa), Wooster crosses the genres of reggae, funk, blues, soul and rock.

Plenty of Wooster's music can be heard for free at woosterband.com, including the band's recent single "Take it Easy." The track pulls from the sound of current chart smash Adele with an unexpected reggae flare.

At Wednesday's concert, expect to hear cuts from ""If All the Dew Were Diamonds," Wooster's sophomore album.
