Wooster Playing Esplanade Park Wednesday
Capitola Village will once again turn into a concert venue Wednesday evening.
As part of Capitola's , Wooster will play in Esplanade Park Wednesday night, for free, from 6-8 p.m, sponsored by .
Wooster is a Santa Cruz-based band embarking on a summer tour of the West Coast, which will take them down to San Diego and as far north as Seattle. Its only other show in the area will be at the Crow's Nest Beach Party on Aug. 4.
According to Jennifer Gallacher of Santa Cruz Rehearsal Studios, Wooster hails "from the backyards and house parties of Santa Cruz," and became the top local party band in 2009. Led by a duo of lead vocalists (Brian Gallagher and Caroline Kuspa), Wooster crosses the genres of reggae, funk, blues, soul and rock.

Plenty of Wooster's music can be heard for free at woosterband.com, including the band's latest single "Take it Easy." The track pulls from the sound of current chart smash Adele with an unexpected reggae flare.
