Mambo Tropical Playing Capitola Bandstand Wednesday

The Twilight Concert Series continues with Mambo Tropical.

We've reached the second half of , and local band Mambo Tropical will be in town to kick off the back nine, sponsored by Ferrari Family & Friends. Seating for the free 6 p.m. show is first come, first served.

Mambo Tropical, according to gigmasters.com, "is a non-stop journey through some of the hottest contemporary and classic Salsa, Cumbia, Merengue and Reggaeton sounds of our time."

Led by vocalist and Star Search alum Yvette Watts, Mambo Tropical plays hits from artists like Celia Cruz, Gloria Estefan, Chano Polo, Tito Puente, Grupo Niche and many more.

Alongside Watts, Mambo Tropical is made up of Rick Feliciano (trombone, vocals), Orlando Castro (vocals), Teresa Orozco-Petersen (flute, vocals), Shane Cantanho (piano) Joaquin Pla (timbales), Tam Sugayan (conga), Mia Flores (bongo, cowbell, perussion), Jim Polizzi (bass) and Scott Englebright (trumpet).

According to the group's official website, the Capitola Esplanade Bandstand performance is the only one currently scheduled, so come down to the Village if you want the chance to see them anytime soon.
