Get Out in Capitola-Soquel: Wine, a Book Reading and Fashion

There are lots of unique wine tasting opportunities this weekend and a chance to hear from a local author.

Where/When: 6500 Soquel Dr, Aptos, Saturday, 9 a.m. (Garden Workshop at Aptos Farmers Market)

Why Go: Jerold O'Brien of Silver Mountain Winery will speak about garden workshops at the . He'll give you an insider's view on what it's like to be a green wine producer. Quite appropriate, as Earth Day approaches.  But the real occasion is that it's Passport Day at about four dozen Santa Cruz Mountain wineries, including about a dozen just within shouting distance of Capitola-Soquel. Why Go: If you do your grocery shopping at in Capitola and you are going to go grocery shopping this weekend anyway, think about making it happen Friday or Saturday.
