Why Go: Paul Renslow is a classical guitarist who provides the perfect ambiance for sipping some wine and starting off the weekend.

Why Go: This is a perfect setting to sample some wines. It's quiet, peaceful and tasteful, with a special ingredient, poetry, as well.

Where/When: Arboretum, , 1156 High St, Sunday, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a pre-event meet and greet starting at noon;

Why Go:  The event planned at the Arboretum is set to be really something special. The SC Baroque Festival and the UCSC Arboretum have joined forces to present Flowers & Music of the World. Five different music groups will play folk and ethnic music from around the world. As you hear the music, take a tour of the Arboretum and see the collection of global plants. What is primed to be a fantastic afternoon will be complemented by a choice of gourmet food and drinks from local vendors.

Pricing: $40; $30 for Arboretum and SC Baroque members
