Spring Dog Festival: Fetch A Wave

Dogs are the “lords of frolic” at this year’s Spring Dog Festival “Fetch a Wave!” The event will feature contests, games and shopping. Surf theme costume parade, Doxie Dash Daschund Races, Disc Dog Fetch, Weenie Bobbing, Best Kisser, Ball Retrieve and Bulldog and Pug Beauty Contests are planned.

 Every year the Coastal Dog Owners Group's Spring Dog Festival benefit raises thousands of dollars for animals and kids.  C-DOG brings together people around a shared interest in dogs, provides scholarships for kids, and raises money for dogs in need.

 Presenting sponsor for the event, Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital will be helping to create a festive atmosphere and providing generous support.  The Spring Dog Festival will feature several animal rescue groups and an adoptable dog showcase to help rescue dogs find forever homes. C-DOG's festival includes dog demonstrations in agility, doga, lure coursing and disc dogs that wow the crowds. The group gives attendees the opportunity to try the sports out and talk to the experts.
