Stowaway Cat Lost in Soquel

Help this Stockton family find their pet.

A Stockton woman whose cat inadvertently made the trip to Soquel last week is searching for her now-lost kitty.

Lucky, a white and gray adult cat, apparently hopped in the pickup of Kristen Hoey's neighbors when they made the trip back to Soquel after attending a funeral in Stockton, Hoey said in an email to Capitola-Soquel Patch

The relatives saw Lucky jump out of their truck when the got home to Soquel. They tried to keep him in their home but he didn't get along with their cat and ended up outside, Hoey said.

She's been to Soquel to search for Lucky, but hasn't had any luck in finding him. Hoey said he was lost near Soquel High School and the cemetery off Soquel San Jose Road.

Hoey is reaching out to the county animal shelter and appealing to the public via Craigslist.

"He’s like a member of the family so it’s been a tough week at our house," Hoey said.

Contact Hoey at Kristin@mdsfsinc.com if you have information about Lucky's whereabouts.

How sad. Lucky must be so scared! Let's hope that someone spots him.

Thank you so much for posting my story! I did find Lucky after almost a month! He went from up near the high school to Orchard Street and a cat lover saw my lost and found posting on Craigslist and kept him safe. So happy to have him home!
