Partly Cloudy Forecast Thursday, Friday, Weekend for the Capitola-Soquel Area

The weather for Capitola and Soquel is expected to remain mild through the weekend, with sunny skies forecast for Sunday.

The forecast for Capitola, Soquel and the rest of the northern Monterey Bay area calls for mostly sunny skies Thursday with daytime highs of 60 or a little warmer, according to the National Weather Service.

It should be nice most of the day at New Brighton State Beach, but park officials advise "the weather can be changeable; layered clothing is recommended."

Northwest winds 8 to 15 miles per hour are expected Dec. 6, with gusts up to 20 mph.

Thursday night is forecast partly cloudy with lows in the mid 40s and north winds around 6 mph, according to the Weather Service.

Friday is expected mostly sunny again with daytime highs around 60, and north to northwest winds of about 6 mph.
