Moms Talk: Spring Activities
It's time to get out and get some sunshine with spring activities.
Q: Now that the weather is changing, can you recommend any spring activities or projects for children?
A: Spring is the perfect time of year for starting new beginnings and projects. It’s also a good time to teach kids about nature and where food comes from. Planting starters or seeds with children and teaching them—or for those who haven’t mastered gardening yet, learning with them—is a rewarding way to celebrate spring.
With better weather and longer days, it’s also easier to get outside and move. Take a walk after dinner, or before. Pump up the tires on your bicycles and go for a ride around the neighborhood and scout for productive fruit trees. And, there’s always the beach.
