Moms Talk: Birthday Party Hot Spots

Deciding where to have your child's next birthday can be a challenge. Here are some local spots to help make your next celebration doubly special and maybe even a little easier.

Q: What are some great ideas for fun kid-party locations?

A: Before making reservations, have you considered having the party at your house? Imagine “Eye of the Tiger” blazing in the living room as you set fire to your child’s birthday candles. If you have a Wii system, and I’m guessing the majority of parents do, or can borrow one from a friend (they’re easy to set up), “Just Dance” is a game that channels wild kid energy in a way even stodgy adults can enjoy. There is a real danger that you'll find yourself singing Katy Perry’s “Hot N Cold” while trying to beat your kid’s high score.
