Sheriff's officers confirmed that the body found Thursday was Nate Phillips, the Aptos teen who went missing Dec. 2 after telling family members he was going "on an adventure."
His body was found by fishermen Thursday, a day after Sheriffs and State Park Rangers conducted an exhaustive search around the pier and ship. Sheriffs identified him by fingerprints Saturday.
Friends have placed flowers on the pier.
