Bring the whole family to a very entertaining evening on Sunday, Dec. 15 and support local families in need.
Santa Cruz City 2013 Mayor Hilary Bryant, American Idol rocker James Durbin, two Santa Cruz Derby Girls, Dale Julin, Cruzmatik and many other local celebrities will take to the basketball court in the New Leaf Vs. Allterra Solar Hardwood Celebrity Classic.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Grind Out Hunger, a Santa Cruz-based nonprofit created through the vision of skateboarders helping kids overcome hunger and malnutrition. Working directly with the youth in our community and in partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank Santa Cruz County, Grind Out Hunger has raised over two million healthy meals for Santa Cruz County families since 2004.
Door open at 5 pm on Sunday, drafts at 5:45 pm and game starts at 6 pm on December 15 at the Kaiser Permanente Arena, home of the Santa Cruz Warriors. There will be in-game and half-time entertainment.
